Background

Capel Vale is a pioneer within Western Australia and amongst the first to be established with vines planted in 1974. The initial winery was built on the Stirling Estate in Capel in 1979 followed shortly thereafter with the first vintage in 1980.

Today, Capel Vale is still family owned and managed. Capel Vale is a fully integrated wine business from vineyard to bottle. It operates one of the most highly certified contract bottling plants in the country.

Nose
Fresh, fruit-forward nose showing white peach and hints of citrus.

Structure / Palate
Medium bodied, with lively stonefruit flavours. An overall soft balance, with a light texture to tighten the finish.

This flavoursome Chardonnay relies on youthful, varietal fruit flavours rather than oak and other complexities. It’s ideal for drinking over the next year with salads or fish.
