The grapes for this flavoursome wine were grown at Mount Barker, in the Adelaide Hills. A warmer than usual autumn has contributed to the wine’s generous flavour, tempered by the decision to pick the grapes early, on 28th February. The juice was fermented largely in stainless steel, while a small proportion did so in older, neutral oak barrels to gain more weight without oak flavour intruding.
