Nick Bulleid MW's Tasting Note

Background
Château Gillet lies near Faleyras, in the Entre-deux-Mers region, “between two seas”, bounded by the Bordeaux rivers, the Garonne and Dordogne. The Château has been in the hands of five generations of the Nadau family since 1880.
The current family team comprises the husband, wife and two daughters.

The 2018 vintage was a warm, high quality year for all appellations in Bordeaux.
The grapes (60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc) are all from the Château’s 100ha of vineyards.

Made by the leading Bordeaux winemaker Pascal Poussevin, the 2018 Château Gillet won a Silver medal at the recent 2019 Concours de Bordeaux.
